Do You Still Have the Passion to Blog?

The fire is burning low. It’s little more than hot embers at this point. We have to push through. Success depends largely on constitution, on how badly you want it. Do you have the testicular fortitude to continue to bust your ass with very little to show for it?

Personal or Professional Blog

Personal or Professional Blog

He asked “What was the purpose of my site? Was it a personal project or was it meant to attract clients?” I knew exactly what he meant. Instantly I flashed on all of the content on my site, and knew that it was posted without direction.

Changing Her World

Changing Her World

Natalynn recalls being made fun of as early as the age of 5. It seems pretty sad to me as she described it because she says “I didn’t know there was anything wrong with the way I looked”, as though being picked on solidified in her mind that there was something wrong with the way she looked, and she just didn’t know it yet.

An Uphill Battle

An Uphill Battle

It’s been a few months since I’ve started this site. I started it with absolutely no knowledge of how to do so. It hasn’t been all too easy for me, since I’m not exactly technically or digitally inclined, and I kind of jumped in with both feet. To be honest my site went live accidentally.

My Useless Certification

My Useless Certification

I told you, if you have been following along, that I would keep you updated on all of my wins and losses, up and downs, while starting this site, and forming it into a profitable career. So. I have gone and done it again. I preach and preach about doing your research before signing up for classes, but I failed to follow my own advice.

Chasing Dreams

Why do you blog? What drove you to start? Are you still following that goal?
I only ask because I seem to have lost sight of mine. Once I started researching blogging, and monetizing blogs, I started concentrating on that too deeply. It’s so easy to do. Expectation vs. Reality

I don’t know what I expected. I really don’t. Well, I guess I kind of do. I thought I would be pumping out blog posts between chapters of my book, and submissions to short story contests. I thought nonprofits would be beating down my door for my copywriting services, and my humor and wisdom would have garnered me a large loyal following. Most of all, I thought that words would be falling from my head faster than any two people could type them.

If you want to be a writer, you have to write. I’m not saying you’ll be good, or even successful, but you will be a writer. Writing can’t fall to the wayside. I know, you don’t want writing to feel like a job. If your goal is to make money writing, then it is a job, and you need to treat it as such
