The Ragged Writer

About Me

Hi. I’m Richie Treadway, a blogger, aspiring author, student, and all around good guy (or so my girlfriend says). My life’s path has been windy and hilly which has given me first hand experience in many areas. I currently live in the Harrisburg area with my girlfriend and our rescue mutt, Roxi. You can find pictures of her in some of my posts, and below, she’s really the one that runs the household. Having now found my dream girl and while building our life together, I found the courage to pursue my dreams, which has brought me to creating this blog. My dream is to write, no matter what.

My mutt.

About This Site

Since it’s inception, this site has illustrated my journey of following my dream, and beginning a career in digital copywritiing. It displays mistakes I’ve made and ideas for how to avoid making those same mistakes as I learn about affiliate marketing, advertising and SEO content. However It also includes posts about life and what writing means to me.

Furthermore

I can remember in elementary school going to the school library every week and checking out “Where the Wild Things Are.” My love of books only grew from there. I love the story. The story captures your soul and pulls you in. Creating a story is just as wonderful as reading one. For as long as I can remember I have been creating characters, and writing stories. I am a story teller.

I thoroughly enjoy creating stories. I have entered a few of them in contests, and will continue to do so. I will be posting them here eventually.

I believe that every company and/or product has a story to tell. I can help you tell that story. I can help show the human element behind your company and products.

“There are books full of great writing that don’t have very good stories. Read sometimes for the story… don’t be like the book-snobs who won’t do that. Read sometimes for the words–the language. Don’t be like the play-it-safers who won’t do that. But when you find a book that has both a good story and good words, treasure that book.” ― Stephen King
